Terms and Conditions of a Purchase
Formally Suited are a Supplier of goods and services. For the avoidance of doubt, our customer is the person who has paid for the goods and is therefore deemed to have placed that order.
All items are provided "Subject to Availability" and Formally Suited will not be held liable for any items unavailable at the time of delivery.
Items will be posted to the customer by a form of carrier (Royal Mail, Evri). Please contact Formally Suited as soon as possible if any changes are required. Alternative items will not be sent until the unused goods are returned to Formally Suited at 1 Vicarage Meadow, Southminster, Essex, CM0 7HQ within 14 days from the date of delivery showing no sign of wear and in it's original packaging.
Formally Suited may only offer items available at the sizes stated. A small selection of suits are available up to a 62". If a larger size is required additional costs will be incurred.
Formally Suited will not be liable for any loss suffered by a customer that could have been avoided by complying with the above. The customer is liable for any damages made to the items once in receipt. Should damage occur during transit the customer will have to give evidence of such damage with photo's showing the envelope and the damaged goods.
Payment
Full payment will need to be made before any items are despatched.
Terms and Conditions of Hire
Formally Suited are a Supplier of quality goods and services. Formally Suited hire goods on the understanding that they will be returned in an undamaged condition and the customer will be responsible for, and indemnify Formally Suited against, any loss or damage to the goods, at their current selling value. For the avoidance of doubt, our customer is the person who has placed the order and is the only contact Formally Suited will correspond with.
Hire Process - The process of suit hire allows for each customer to obtain the suits and accessories 2-10 days before the event. If suits are required to be collected outside of the agreed date an additional collection visit will need to be booked via the app or discussed with customer services and a charge will apply.
All items are provided "Subject to Availability" and Formally Suited will do their upmost to offer alternatives that match the outfit. Formally Suited will not be held liable for any items unavailable at the time of collection. All appointments are extremely important, and each client must do their upmost to ensure that all party members make themselves available for each visit.
Consultation - The shop will be closed to each party for each visit. At the consultation, suits and accessories can be tried on until the perfect outfit is decided. For unavailable suits an alternative suit in the same style will be offered in a different colour. The suit required will be purchased in time for the collection date (Subject to Availability).
Fitting - A fitting will take place 3 months before the event and all-party members are required to attend this appointment. Sizing suits will be tried on and measurements taken. Suit jackets and waistcoats are available up to a 54" and Trousers up to a 44” however, a small selection of larger sizes are available. Formally Suited will do their upmost to assist with sizes which are not standard, but it is not guaranteed that these will be available.
Should a party member not be available for the fitting, sizes can be sent over to customer services, but it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that these are as accurate as possible to allow the package to be made up in the sizes supplied.
Collection - At the collection (7-10 days prior to the event) all outfit(s) are to be tried on. This allows for any changes or alterations to be determined. Should a member of the party not make the collection date any changes to a package may not always be possible. A further visit may be made via the app as an “Additional Appointment”.
Items may be posted to the customer by a form of carrier (Royal Mail/Evri) if, Formally Suited have been unable to provide the item at the time of the collection and will cover this cost. Alternatives will be offered should an item not be available however, Formally Suited will not be liable for replacement costs made by the client should the alternative offered not be sufficient but will provide a refund of that item.
All items required for ceremonies abroad will incur an additional charge of £15 per suit package per week. Once the destination is reached it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all items are suitably laundered when they arrive at their destination. Should any items be lost or damaged they will be charged at the selling value.
Returns - All suits and accessories are required to be returned up to 72 hours after the event. Overdue returns will be charged at £15 per outfit per day unless agreed by Formally Suited.
Formally Suited will not be liable for any loss suffered by a customer that could have been avoided by complying with the above. The customer is liable for any damages or non-compliance to this contract.
A Damage Waiver is provided within a suit hire package. This covers the customer for small stains and repairable tears. Any loss or irreplaceable damage to the item will not be covered under this waiver and will be charged at the selling value.

Payment for hire
A holding deposit of £100 will be made to secure the booking. Part payment of the invoice will be required at the fitting with the final payment due 6 weeks before the event. Failure to make the payment will result in the order being placed on hold which could cause a delay in collection and any alterations being made. Invoices will be sent via my provider and bank details can be found on the invoice link. Credit card payments will not be accepted. Prompt payment is appreciated!
Damaged items - Should any damage be made to items and require replacing an additional invoice will be sent (less £100 holding deposit). An email will be sent with information on items that are not returned in the state hired. A further updated email will be sent with information on what items were cleaned to a state they can be rehired. Should any items require replacing this information will also be provided under the terms of this contract. Payment will be due within 14 days from the date of the final email. Reminder emails will be sent on 3 further occasions vis my provider. Should payment still not be received after this time the recovery of the goods process will be started.

Holding Deposit Return - Should all items be returned in the condition hired the £100 holding deposit will be returned to the client in the first instance as a refund via payment method used at the consultation. Should this fail the payment will be made via the “Return of Deposit” details received on the date of booking. This information will be destroyed under ICO Regulations once the contract has been completed.
Cancellations for suit hire
Cancellations to your order, or part of your order can be made by email and a record will be made on your file. To qualify for a refund (less admin fees) a cancellation notice must be received before the collection date as applies:- 12 weeks or more a full refund (less admin fee); 8-12 weeks a 50% refund (less admin fee). Any cancellations made between 0-8 weeks will not qualify for a refund unless due to extreme circumstances. Written evidence must be supplied for Formally Suited to consider.
